Book “blurbs”

So happy to have received four “book blurbs” so far. What is a book “blurb” and is that a real word?

Blurb.com describes the role of a blurb: “As the persuasive summary of any book, film, or creative work, a blurb is a short promotional description. Blurbs typically appear on the back cover of printed books and are intended to encourage readers to buy into the book.”

The following people have written blurbs for me and I’m eternally grateful:

  • Terry Fallis, bestselling Canadian novelist, and two-time winner of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour

  • Simon Hally, friend, critiquing partner, and veteran Canadian business reporter

  • Donald Cooper, business coach, management speaker, and a friend of Alex

  • Pat & Rosemarie Keough, photographers, authors, explorers, lecturers, and friends of Alex.

These “blurbs” are on the website under the “Reviews” tab. If you want to provide a review or blurb, please submit it on the “Contact” page.
