Joseph Tilley, Alex's father, was born and raised in Belleville, Ontario. Joe's father was originally from Kelligrews, Newfoundland, where the family roots go back to 1790.
Alex provided Hats and Tilleys to Operation Raleigh youth participants who tested them on excursions and provided feedback and suggestions for improvements.
